The Universal Health Plan Governance Board (UHPGB) has created four committees to join its work in developing a comprehensive plan to finance and administer a universal health plan for all Oregon residents. The board recruited members of the public to voluntarily serve on the committees and received a tremendous amount of interest with more than 166 applicants. After extensive review, the board has appointed 47 committee members with equitable representation from every region and population around the state. The board’s plan is due to be presented to Gov. Tina Kotek and the Oregon Legislature by September 2026. The four committees are:

Each committee has a board member serving as chairperson, who will be the liaison between the board and the committee. Board members will look to committee members for expertise and lived experience to serve this important effort and progress the work of the board. Each committee has been charged with tasks and deliverables that align with the board’s work plan.
