Initial Continuing Education (CE): A certification holder is not required to attest to having five (5) hours of annual continuing education until their second renewal. The second and all subsequent renewals require annual attestation of five (5) hours of CE.
To maintain certification, a certified advanced esthetician must complete a minimum of 5 continuing education (CE) hours every certification year. For the current CE requirements, please see Oregon Administrative Rule (OAR) 819-025-0020 and 819-025-0030.
All five hours of the required CE hours can be taken by way of self-study. Use the Continuing Education Self-Study Verification form to track your hours.
Continuing Education Frequently Asked Questions
Documentation supporting compliance with CE requirements must be maintained by the certification holder for a period of five (5) years following certification renewal and be provided to the Health Licensing Office upon request.
Each certification holder shall document compliance with CE credit requirements through attestation on the certification renewal application.
