The Workers' Compensation Board is an independent and impartial forum for resolving disputes arising out of workers’ compensation law and the Oregon Safe Employment Act.
If you disagree with a decision on a workers' compensation claim, you may have the right to appeal the decision to the Workers' Compensation Board.
Mediation can be a positive alternative to litigation. Mediation saves time and expense, removes uncertainty, and allows the parties to create a resolution of their case in a manner that serves their best interests.
The Workers' Compensation Board provides interpreters for its hearings and mediations at no cost. Many languages are available. Interpreter requests should be submitted at least two weeks before the hearing or mediation.
Find information on forms, requests, notifications, and subpoenas.
Workers' compensation is complex. We urge injured workers to get an attorney. You are not required to have an attorney, but the employer and its insurer will be represented by an attorney.
This section provides resources that will help all parties involved in a Workers' Compensation Board dispute.
