Well Constructor licenses are issued for a period of two years and expire on June 30. Licenses may be renewed by submitting an application and fee of $150.00 any time before the license expires but not later than one year after the license expires. A person who renews a license within the 12 months after the license expires shall pay a late fee of $150.00. If a person fails to renew a license within 12 months after expiration, the person must retake the well constructor’s exam in order to secure a license.
How to renew a Well Constructor License:
- Online license renewal applications may be submitted and paid for (with credit/debit card) if the well constructor has met the continuing education credit requirement and has created a password with the Department. Please call 971-287-8305 to arrange for a password.
- Print out a license renewal form from the Department website and mail to Oregon Water Resources with the $150 license fee (checks only).
- The Department will send out renewal forms, typically at the end of the month of March, to all current, licensed well constructors whose license expires in June of that year. Those forms may be completed and mailed back to the Department with the $150.00 license fee (checks only).
Please note, a license may not be renewed if the minimum continuing education requirement is not met prior to the expiration of the license. The Department suggests paying the $150.00 fee before June 30 if CEC’s are not met. Otherwise, the late fee of $100.00 will be imposed.
