The Forensic Justice Project is a nonprofit organization in Oregon that was created to help attorneys in criminal and juvenile cases understand and challenge faulty or misleading forensic evidence, or develop sound scientific evidence where appropriate. FJP generally partners with lead counsel to address the forensic issues in the case. FJP may also provide direct representation to defendants asserting factual innocence in post-conviction DNA-related cases.

We work with:

Attorneys who
- represent a defendant,
- in a criminal case pending in Oregon, whether pre-trial, appeal, or post-conviction, and
- need help with a forensic issue.

Individuals who
- have been convicted of a criminal offense in Oregon,
- are claiming factual innocence, and
Information submitted on this referral form is confidential. OPDC will not disclose the information except as necessary to make it available to the Forensic Justice Project.
