Vehicle and equipment purchases and disposal

It may be possible for your agency to use OHCS funding to purchase or dispose of equipment or vehicles. Some qualifying examples of equipment include:

  • office equipment and furnishings
  • information technology equipment and systems
  • air conditioning equipment
  • printing equipment
  • motor vehicles (all vehicle purchases require approval from OHCS)

Agencies must comply with standards contained in 2 CFR Part 200, and the Fixed Assets and Purchasing section of your OHCS contract.

Vehicle purchase and disposal

To purchase a vehicle, please complete and submit the Vehicle Purchase Request Form. Please note that a separate form submission is needed for each vehicle. You must include copies of your agency’s "request for bids" and the responses to bids. All vehicle purchases require prior approval from OHCS.

If you would like to dispose of a vehicle over $5,000, please complete the Vehicle Disposition Request Form. Once you receive OHCS approval for the method of disposition, you may carry out the disposition. Please email the Weatherization Program Coordinator with any questions.

Equipment purchases and disposal

If your organization would like to purchase qualifying equipment, please complete and submit the Equipment Purchase Request Form. A separate submission is required for each piece unless it is a bulk purchase of the same equipment. All equipment purchases exceeding $5,000 require prior approval from OHCS.

All purchase requests must include a copy of the bid solicitation, non-collusive bidding forms signed by the bidder, and the actual bid documents.

You must receive OHCS approval for equipment disposal if it costs over $5,000. Please complete the Vehicle Disposition Request Form. Once you receive OHCS approval for the method of disposition, you may carry out the disposition. Please email the Weatherization Program Coordinator with any questions.
