Building Oregon's future: Partner with ReOregon

ReOregon helps Oregon communities recover and rebuild following natural disasters by funding and overseeing construction projects that support long-term recovery. Builders and contractors play a vital role in this effort by building safe, durable, and compliant housing to meet the needs of those affected.

Below is an overview of the program requirements and guidelines, designed to ensure that projects meet the standards and goals of ReOregon.

Types of construction projects

ReOregon supports various construction projects, including new housing developments, reconstruction, and rehabilitation of disaster-damaged properties. Each type of project has specific guidelines to ensure that the highest standards of safety and sustainability are met.

Before beginning construction

Before breaking ground, contractors must meet eligibility requirements, submit project plans for approval, and confirm compliance with program guidelines. This ensures that all projects are ready to proceed efficiently and meet program standards from the start.

Monitoring and inspections

To maintain quality and compliance, ReOregon monitors projects throughout the construction process. Contractors are expected to follow reporting requirements and cooperate with periodic inspections to address issues as they arise.

Requesting payment

ReOregon provides funding through a reimbursement process. Contractors must follow clear procedures to document expenses and submit requests for payment, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Closing out a project

Once construction is complete, contractors must fulfill specific closeout requirements, including final inspections and submission of necessary documentation. This process ensures that the project meets all program standards and that contractors receive final payment.

Construction standards

All construction projects funded by ReOregon must adhere to rigorous standards designed to ensure durability, safety, and energy efficiency. Contractors are required to follow all applicable building codes, regulations, and program-specific guidelines.
