In person-visitation resumes for all patients, regardless of vaccination status, except for those on Admissions and Persons Under Investigation (PUI) units, on both the Salem and Junction City campuses beginning Wednesday, March 9. Approved visitors may register for visitation beginning Monday, March 7. Safety precautions will be in place to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19.
In-person visitation is allowed when the weekly test positivity rate for COVID-19 falls below 8 percent, which is in the CDC’s “moderate” range. In the last week, both Lane County and Marion County reached this range.
All visits will take place in designated indoor locations, at least until the weather improves in the spring. Meanwhile, video visits will continue to be available to all patients.
Visitors must complete the same health screening as all OSH employees. If visitors refuse or fail the health screening, OSH will cancel the visit to protect patients from potentially becoming infected with COVID-19.
Please see detailed information visitation schedules and guidelines in the Salem visitation staff FAQs.
We have updated our Junction City information to reflect the opening of visitation for patients regardless of vaccination status. Please see the updated JC visitor FAQs for details.
