Oregon State Hospital is suspending all in-person visits, effective 2 p.m., Friday, May 24.
We know this is disappointing and frustrating for you and your friend or family member at OSH.
The hospital had a significant incident of a visitor passing contraband to a patient. We are pausing in-person visits to review and adjust our procedures, to ensure patients and staff are safe during in-person visits.
We will keep the pause as short as possible. We will let you know when we are able to resume in-person visits, and if there are any new requirements.
We apologize because we know how important visits are to the well-being of patients and their friends and family.
Video visits remain an option, and we are happy to work with you to facilitate a video visit with your friend or family member.
