Oregon's Health IT Oversight Council (HITOC) is responsible for ensuring that the right strategies for health IT are in place to support Oregon's health equity and health system transformation goals. Starting in August 2021, HITOC began updating Oregon's strategic plan for health IT for 2022 and beyond.
In 2017, HITOC completed the update to the Oregon HIT Strategic Plan, which was subsequently approved by the Oregon Health Policy Board at their September 2017 meeting. The plan sets the vision and strategic direction to advance the adoption and use of health IT in Oregon. This plan updates the 2014-2017 Oregon Business Plan Framework for HIT/HIE that had guided work to date.
