Person Responsible for Processing Site (PRP)

How to change a PRP

What is a PRP?

A PRP is a "Person Responsible for a Processing Site." This means any individual listed as a PRP on the application who is directly involved in managing the day-to-day operations of a processing site and meets the qualifications in OAR 333-008-1710 through 333-008-1720.

More than one PRP can be listed, however there can only be one Primary PRP (see below).

What is a Primary PRP?

A Primary PRP is an individual who:

  • is designated as the primary point of contact for a processing site;
  • is authorized to receive any and all communications and legal notices from the Oregon Health Authority;
  • meets the qualifications in OAR 333-008-1710 through 333-008–1720; and
  • is involved in the day-to-day operations of the processing site.

Only one person may be designated by an owner to act as a Primary PRP, and a processing site must have a registered Primary PRP in order to operate.

Apply to Change PRP

Under OAR 333-008-1720, an owner must submit a Remove or Change PRP Form to seek approval to remove or change the designated duties of a PRP. An owner must submit an Add PRP Form to add a PRP or Primary PRP.
