Construction Impacts

Starting Mar. 18, expect a new traffic pattern. Traffic on OR 211 will now need to stop when they reach the intersection.

You can expect:

  • Lane and shoulder closures.
  • Flaggers helping direct traffic as needed.
  • Construction noise and delays.

About

enlarged project map iconWe're making safety improvements at the intersection of OR 211 and S Meridian Road to help reduce the number of crashes.

In 2025, we'll:

  • Install stop signs on OR 211 at the intersection.

  • Grind in rumble strips across the lane at four locations on OR 211, two on each side of S Meridian Road. Rumble strips are grooves in the pavement that create vibration and sound to alert drivers when they are leaving a lane.

  • Add overhead flashing red warning lights to alert drivers of the new all-way stop.

  • Install new signs as needed.

We’re constructing the safety improvements at this intersection that we can now, in 2025. Some of the improvements require more planning. We'll return in 2026-2027 to make the permanent changes to this intersection.
