Umatilla - Morrow County Curb Ramps Phase 2A

Region 5: Eastern Oregon (Boardman, Echo, Hermiston, Umatilla, Morrow, Umatilla)


​​​​​​​​​​​We are constructing curb ramps to meet compliance with ADA standards in Boardman (Morrow County), and Umatilla, Echo, and Hermiston (Umatilla County).​

Impacts

Traffic Impact

​Travelers may se​e lane and/or shoulder closures with flaggers, cones and signs.
Access for pedestrians, including those with disabilities, will be available and identified through or around work zones. Pedestrian detour routes will be marked with signs.
Access to businesses will remain open.

Schedule

For the week of March 10:
Work in Hermiston has begun at these locations on OR 207:

  • Poplar Avenue.
  • Entrance to Metro Mart.
  • Sunland Avenue.

​We are upgrading curb ramps in the cities of Boardman, Umatilla, Echo and Hermiston to meet Americans with Disabilities Act standards.

Morrow County
  • Main Street, at I-84 eastbound on- and off-ramps and I-84 westbound on- and off-ramps.
Umatilla County
  • Oregon Trail Road, from Leezer Avenue, milepost 35.22, to Bonanza Street, milepost 35.57.
  • OR 207/Elm Avenue, from Townsend Road, milepost 5.57 to hospital entrance, milepost 7.91.
  • OR 207/11th, from Elm Avenue, milepost 8.07, to Joseph Avenue, milepost 9.11.
  • Not all curb ramps between these locations in Hermiston will be upgraded during Phase 2A. Phase 2B is still under design and is expected to go to bid in February 2025.​
  • U.S. 730, east end of the Umatilla Bridge, milepost 182.66, to I-82 northbound on- and off-ramps, milepost 184.08.
