Northbound I-5: Santiam Overflow Bridge Repairs

Project Completed

Region 2: Willamette Valley and Northwest Oregon (Jefferson, Marion)

We replaced the pavement on the bridge and installed new bridge railing to meet current safety standards.

enlarged project map icon This bridge was built in 1994. The driving surface was cracking and was in need of repair.

With this project, we:

Repaved the bridge.
Installed new bridge rails.
Replaced joint seals.
Removed and replaced the road surface right before and after the bridge.
Replaced the existing guardrail.
Applied new permanent striping.

Construction: completed in October 2024.
