Northbound I-5: Santiam Overflow Bridge Repairs

Project Completed

Region 2: Willamette Valley and Northwest Oregon (Jefferson, Marion)


​​​​​​We replaced the pavement on the bridge and installed new bridge railing to meet current safety standards. ​​

enlarged project map iconThis bridge was built in 1994. The driving surface was cracking and was in need of repair. 

With this project, we: 

  • Repaved the bridge. 

  • Installed new bridge rails.

  • Replaced joint seals.

  • Removed and replaced the road surface right before and after the bridge.

  • Replaced the existing guardrail.

  • Applied new permanent striping.
