I-5 Construction and Road Work

Project number 1Bridge structure rebuild at milepost 296​

Project number 5Paving from Exit 216 to milepost 203.6 (Linn/Lane County Line)

  • Work started in June 2024.

    • Lane and ramp closures.
    • Abrupt edge between lanes – no lane switching in some parts of the work zone.
    • Reduced speed limit in the work zone to 55 mph.

Project number 6Road repairs from Goshen to Cottage Grove (Exit 188 to Exit 175)​

  • Work started in 2023 and is estimated to complete in 2024.
  • Travel impacts:​
    • Shoulder, lane and ramp closures as needed.

Project number 7Installing electric vehicle charging stations (about every 50 miles – Exit 182 to border)

  • Work starts in late 2024 or in 2025.

    • None anticipated. Construction is happening ​off of I-5.​
