Internship Program
ODOT offers opportunities through internships to help you develop skills and learn new concepts that contribute to ODOT overall mission and values. Our unique internships allow us to develop a pipeline of talented individuals who become ODOT ambassadors and view us as their long-term employer of choice. High school and college students, as well as recent graduates, are encouraged to apply for internships.
Graduate Program
The ODOT Graduate Program is designed to develop new and recent graduates into subject matter experts. Program participants rotate within the agency for up to 24 months. Make the transition from student to full-time professional with ODOT, a leader in transportation innovation. Recruitment starts in October and runs through March.

Youth Litter Program
The Youth Litter Program was founded in 1977 to assist in cleaning up highway rights of way. This is a great opportunity to work with a team outdoors maintaining state highways. The Youth Litter Program recruitment process begins every February, with positions for the upcoming summer session, and is posted in Workday through mid-March, typically just before spring break. You must be at least 16 years of age to be a crew member and at least 18 to be a crew leader. A background check is conducted.
