These safety improvements will reduce the frequency and severity of crashes and help vehicles, pedestrians, transit and bicyclists share the road with fewer conflicts. Construction on the first phase of improvements from SE 122nd Avenue to SE 136th Avenue will be complete in late 2020. Design is underway now for the second phase of improvements from I-205/SE 99th Avenue to SE 122nd Avenue and SE 136th Avenue to the Portland/Gresham city limits.
