The Pole Line Lane railroad crossing is located in Baker County, near its intersection with U.S. Highway 30 at milepost 44.

Haines is approximately 3.5 miles to the north, and Baker City lies 5.5 miles to the south.

  • Project design is underway and will be completed in the fall of 2025.
  • Project is scheduled to go to bid in December 2025.
  • ​Construction is scheduled for 2026.

The project cost is estimated at $2 million. This includes design, right of way and construction.

During construction in 2026, travelers can expect a closure on Pole Line Lane with a detour.​

The detour is expected to be in place for three to four weeks.
