Mission
The mission of the Oregon Technology Transfer Center is to foster a safe and efficient transportation system in the state of Oregon by offering training, technical assistance and technology transfer to local transportation agencies.
Funding
The Technology Transfer Center is jointly sponsored by the Federal Highway Administration, the counties and cites of Oregon, and the Oregon Department of Transportation. FHWA funds are provided through the Local Technical Assistance Program.
Most of our services are provided free of charge to Oregon agencies with transportation responsibilities.
Services
The purpose of the Oregon T2 Center is to help local transportation agencies obtain information and training on transportation technology relating to roads, bridges and public transportation. To accomplish this, we:
- provide low-cost seminars, training classes and workshops
- publish a newsletter
- provide a “Circuit Rider” service, taking video programs and informational materials to local agencies
- provide a video lending library on a variety of transportation topics
- provide copies of technical bulletins or reports upon request
- respond to inquires from local agencies by providing technical resources or making a referral to a specialist
