Building strong partnerships with local businesses means more community-based jobs are available for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
Benefits to employers
Employing individuals with I/DD is a win-win for everybody. In the past, individuals with I/DD were much more likely to be unemployed compared to the general population, but that is starting to change. Employers are seeing how individuals who experience I/DD can be dedicated, hard-working, and also improve the productivity, culture and diversity of the workplace.
