Volunteer with DOC

Overview

Each year citizen volunteers contribute thousands of service hours at the Oregon Department of Corrections (DOC). The involvement of volunteers is highly valued by the department. It is an opportunity that provides an important public service and is also personally rewarding.

Volunteers help DOC deliver programs and services, bringing a variety of skills to the department and modeling successful leadership and citizenship. Volunteers can help inmates become more productive, educated, self-sufficient, and law-abiding citizens.

Volunteer opportunities include:
  • Facilitating faith-based meetings and events
  • Participating and organizing Native American services
  • Restorative Justice Program
  • And many more
For more information on volunteer opportunities, visit our facility page or simply contact a DOC facility near you.
