2022 Klamath Air Quality Advisory Committee

DEQ, in collaboration with Klamath County, created an advisory committee to review strategies to maintain and continue to reduce fine particulate matter (PM_2.5) emissions to maintain the attainment status of Klamath Falls with the PM_2.5 standard. The committee will review control and contingency measures and issue a report to the Board of Klamath County Commissioners and DEQ to be incorporated in a maintenance plan. At the end of this process, DEQ will propose rules and develop a PM_2.5 redesignation request and maintenance plan for consideration by the Oregon Environmental Quality Commission and EPA.
