The Oregon Sustainability Board (OSB) works with state agencies in the effective use of energy, air, water and resources to sustain Oregon's environment, economy and community. Board members are appointed by the Governor to represent diverse groups of people across the State of Oregon.
Passage of the Oregon Sustainability Act (ORS 184.421-435) in 2001, outlined goals and duties for OSB. Later the Governor directed the board to review and approve agency sustainability plans.
The Board meets four times a year, working with agencies to review plans and inform efforts to meet state sustainability goals.
