The period for submitting proof of electrical, plumbing and residential structural code change training ended on September 30, 2024. You can view the 2023 Code change tracking sheet below to see if your code change self-certification form has been received. Please contact
codechange.bcd@dcbs.oregon.gov if you have questions.
All BCD inspector certificate holders are required to complete a code change class provided by the division and self-certify to the division that they have completed the training by September 30, 2024, to maintain their certification. If you have not completed your code update training, your certification(s) will expire on October 1, 2024. If your certifications have expired, you may not conduct inspections until new credentials have been issued. To obtain new credentials you must apply to take the certification examination for your expired credential and pass the examination or, if you have an applicable ICC or other nationally recognized certificate, apply to have that credential converted to an Oregon certificate. Until you have obtained a new credential, you are not eligible to conduct inspections in Oregon. If you have questions, please contact the training program at
codechange.bcd@oregon.gov.
