The Oregon Structural Specialty Code (OSSC) establishes the minimum requirements for the construction, reconstruction, alteration and repair of buildings and other structures, as well as the installation of mechanical devices and equipment. The division works with building officials, technical committees, advisory boards, and the public to adopt, amend, and interpret the provisions of the OSSC.

The 2022 OSSC is based on the 2021 International Building Code (IBC), the 2021 International Fire Code (IFC) new construction provisions and the 2021 International Existing Building Code (IEBC).
