Overview
Prospect, Oregon is located in Jackson County, along Oregon Route 62. Prospect began as a logging town, and there are many scenic views nearby, including the Prospect State Scenic Viewpoint. Each July, Prospect hosts an airplane fly-in that helps support the Jackson County Search and Rescue. The Airport is also frequently used to support aerial firefighting activity in the region.
Runway 2/20 provides visual approaches, LIRL, and measures 4,000 feet in length by 50 feet in width. The Airport accommodates an estimated 1,225 general aviation operations annually. It is estimated that 71 percent of these operations are itinerant. There is one aircraft based at the Airport.
