Draft Environmental Assessment Available
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Oregon Department of Aviation (ODAV) announce the availability of the Draft Environmental Assessment (Draft EA) for the proposed Obstruction Removal Project at the Aurora State Airport in Aurora, Marion County, Oregon, for public review and comment.
The Draft EA examines the potential environmental impacts of the proposed action to remove obstructions in the runway approach zone to ensure compliance with current FAA safety and operational standards for the airport. The project purpose would be accomplished through obstruction removal.
The Draft EA will be available for public review and comment beginning on October 25, 2024. Draft EA copies may be viewed/ made available in electronic format at the following locations:

Public Comment Period
Public comment on this document is invited for a 30-day period extending from October 25, 2024, through November 24, 2024. The purpose of the Public Comment period is to allow comments on the adequacy of the Draft EA for the proposed Obstruction Removal at the Aurora State Airport.

Please be advised that your entire comment, including such personal identifying information as address, phone number, and e-mail address, may be publicly available at any time. While you can ask in your comment to withhold from public review any personal identifying information, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so.
