What We Do
Public transportation is important to Oregonians, and we make sure everyone can access a well-connected, efficient transportation system. Our work provides choices for travelers other than the usual automobile travel.
We help over 200 public transportation providers and communities use state and federal funding to provide public transportation.
We write funding agreements, process reimbursements, and work with federal and state agencies to get funds. We also produce written guidance for transit agencies, answer questions, and analyze how effective programs are. Our employees answer questions from cities and counties about project development and funding options.
How We Live Our Mission and Values
We show integrity by promoting transit, ridesharing, telecommuting, alternative work schedules, walking, biking and other alternatives to driving alone – all of which positively impact our planet. We show that we value equity by increasing access to resources for those in all types of communities.
Degrees or Experience We Look For
We love people with planning and analysis experience, good communication skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service. Our employees commonly have degrees in planning, business, public administration, social science, finance, accounting, political science or related fields.
