With great sadness, we remember John Moore, a dedicated Financial Investigator/Auditor who joined the Oregon Real Estate Agency in April 2020. A seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in auditing, John traveled extensively throughout the United States and Canada, working for SAIF, Liberty Mutual, and various national franchises and commercial lending institutions.
John was more than just a colleague; he was a storyteller, a friend, and a source of warmth for our staff. Colleagues remember him for his ability to make people feel seen and valued. He had a remarkable talent for remembering personal details – from children's names to weekend plans – and always took the time to greet new and familiar faces with genuine kindness.
Born and raised in Oregon, John was a true Oregonian who loved to hike and golf.
As he approached retirement, John looked forward to continued learning, traveling, and enjoying life's simple pleasures. He hoped to take classes in world history and astronomy, read more books, and explore new places.
John's unexpected loss has left a significant void in our agency. He will be remembered not just for his professional accomplishments, but for the light he brought to the Agency. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time.
