Disclose Your License in MLS Public Comments for Personal Transactions

December 2022

If you are a broker or principal broker and are a principal to a real estate transaction, you must disclose that you are licensed in all advertising and in at least the first document of agreement as required by Oregon Administrative Rule (OAR) 863-015-0145. This applies even if your license is inactive.

Since the definition of advertising in OAR 863-015-0125 includes multiple listing services, you must remember to add your disclosure to the “public comment" section of the MLS entry. This will ensure that the disclosure is visible on any 3rd party website.
