Race Horse Aftercare Organizations

Retired Racehorse Project - Dedicated to helping Thoroughbreds find second careers.

Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance - Kentucky-based nonprofit that accredits, inspects, and awards grants to approved aftercare organizations to retrain, retire, and rehome Thoroughbreds.

The Prodigious Fund allocates donations made by Emerald Downs horsemen to nonprofits that help Thoroughbreds. Emerald Downs matches the contributions.

Canter USA - Adoption site for off-track Thoroughbreds ready to start new careers. Has affiliates in California, Colorado, and Arizona.

Second Chance Ranch - Puget Sound area organization devoted to rehabilitation, retraining, and adoption of Thoroughbred race horses to second careers.
