Position: Chief Compliance, Audit, and Risk Officer
Jason Stanley has worked for Oregon PERS since 2006. He currently serves as the Chief Compliance, Audit, and
Risk Officer.
In this role, Stanley oversees the agency’s information security, continuity management, policy, appeals,
and internal audit functions. These areas are key to the agency’s success through risk identification and
management as well as monitoring for compliance.
Previously, Stanley served as the agency’s Chief Audit Executive. Prior to joining the PERS team, he
worked for the Secretary of State Audits Division, where he oversaw a variety of performance, compliance, and
financial audits. He also worked for the Oregon Department of Transportation, where he managed the external
audit function by overseeing audits of contractors doing business with the department.
Stanley holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Portland State University. He also holds the designations
of Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner. Additionally, Stanley is a member of the state of
Oregon’s Chief Audit Executive Council and a member of the Association of Public Pension Fund Auditors.
