Each youth at JWTP has an account that family can add money to. Only people who are on the youth’s approved visitors or phone lists may put money on their account.
Youth can use the money in their account for approved personal items such as hygiene products, makeup, clothing, and food. JWTP has monthly community shopping trips for youth where they learn how to create a budget and stick to it while shopping.
You may not give money directly to your youth. You can add money to your youth’s account in three ways. We accept checks, money orders, or cash:
- In person at the Oak Creek Youth Correctional Facility front desk during business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- At visitation. Turn in the money to the visitation supervising staff person and they will give you a receipt.
- By mail. Checks or money orders preferred for mail.
Please make checks out to Oregon Youth Authority, with your youth’s name on the memo line.
