Here, fire agencies can access required training for the Smoke Alarm Installation Program, and real estate professionals can find continuing education on Oregon’s smoke and carbon monoxide alarm laws.

Smoke Alarm Installation Program 

This training is required for fire agencies involved in the smoke alarm installation program. The OSFM's smoke alarm installation program provides smoke alarms to Oregon fire agencies to install in homes without them. 

Training is required for:

  • Agencies to participate in the program 
  • Agencies that have not taken the training since 2017 

Topics include: 

  • Program eligibility and requirements 
  • Smoke alarms and installation 
  • Safety materials 
  • Project planning and ideas

Oregon Smoke & CO Alarm Laws for Selling or Renting a Home

The OSFM is a certified continuing education provider through the Oregon real estate agency. The OSFM offers training on smoke and carbon monoxide alarm statutes and rules and how they impact your clients.

Course details:

  • 1 CE hour in Real Estate Consumer Protection
  • CE certificates are issued by the OSFM
  • Free, online training
