We are recruiting qualified medical personnel to serve as Ringside Physicians. We require medical personnel at all regulated events. To be eligible to serve as a Ringside Physician, you must be licensed in Oregon.
Ringside medical personnel duites:
- Conduct pre-fight physical examinations of unarmed combat sport competitors.
- Review submitted medical testing to approve applicants for competition.
- Observe the competition and respond to medical needs; including advice to referees on the continuation of a bout after injuries.
- Perform post-competition examinations to determine if a competitor must be temporarily or permanently suspended from further competition.
Medical Personnel are temporary employees of the Oregon State Athletic Commission - Oregon State Police. All applicants must be either a Medical Doctor (M.D.) or a Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.).
