While many boating sites are open year-round, many close seasonally, and others become unusable with low water levels or snow on unmaintained roads. Look at Trip Check, local weather, and water elevation forecasts.  Know Before You Go.

The Marine Board participates in the Turn in Poachers (and Illegal Guides) program. So far this year, six individuals have received rewards for information that led to a citation regarding illegal guiding. Report unlicensed guides by calling the tip line at (800) 452-7888 or email TIP@osp.oregon.gov.

Agate Lake

  • UPDATE: Agate Lake day use boat launch is open, and the lake is 19% full. Water is dropping quickly. Small boats and paddlecraft are recommended.

Agency Lake

  • Henzel and Petric Park's boat ramps and docks are open through the end of September. Water levels are getting low.  Use caution when loading and unloading on the boat ramp.

Allen Creek Reservoir

  • All motorized vehicle and boat access is closed September 16-May 14. Nonmotorized access is open year around.  Private property surrounds the reservoir, please respect private property signs and fencing.

Alsea River

  • The Port of Alsea boat launch is open. Alsea Bay has no maintained channel or jetties.  Because of new siltation around and in the marina, please avoid using the boat launch on minus tides.

Ana Reservoir

  • The reservoir is being lowered by five feet for the winter. Smaller boats can still launch at the County ramp.

Antelope Flat Reservoir

Anthony Lakes

  • Anthony Lakes Campground and boat launch are open. The lake is a wonderful place for nonmotorized boats and boats with electric motors to enjoy. The water is cold so remember to wear your life jacket.

Applegate Reservoir

  • UPDATE: Copper ramp is open, weather permitting. Water is more than 12 feet below the bottom of this primitive ramp as of last week.
  • UPDATE: French Gulch boating access open and there is approximately 50 feet of water over the end of the ramp as of last week. Gravel road that drops into the lake and provides low-water access for fall and winter use of the Lake. 
  • Hart-Tish ramp is out of the water and closed for the season.

Badger Lake

  • The campground and trailhead are open.  This is a nonmotorized lake. Carry your paddlecraft from the trailhead parking approximately 300 feet to access the water.  The lake is less than a 2-hour drive from Sandy.

Ben Irving Reservoir

  • Ben Irving boat launch is open and accessible.

Beulah Reservoir

  • UPDATE: The Beulah launch is out of the water. The water is approximately ten feet below the bottom of the ramp as of last week and is continuing to drop.

Big Lake

  • Big Lake West, Big Lake campgrounds, and Big Lake Day Use boating access sites are open.

Blair Lake

Blue Lake (Multnomah County)

  • Blue Lake Regional Park is open.

Blue River Reservoir

Bradley Lake

  • The County recently removed vegetation at the boat ramp in time for ODFW is scheduled to stock “fall trout/pounders" in mid-October, so the weed removal is timely for that angling opportunity.

Brownlee Reservoir

  • ADVISORY: Idaho Department of Health and Welfare on August 5, 2024, issued a harmful algal bloom health advisory for Brownlee and Hells Canyon reservoirs, urging caution when recreating in or near the water. 
  • UPDATE: Farewell Bend State Park is open. There is approximately 10 feet of water over the bottom of the boat ramp as of last week.
  • UPDATE: Moonshine Mine boat ramp is open. There is approximately 28 feet of water over the bottom of the boat ramp.
  • The Spring Recreation Campground is open however the boat ramp is unusable. The water is approximately seven feet below the bottom of the ramp. Call the Baker BLM office at 541-523-1256 for current ramp conditions.
  • Hewitt Park is closed. This includes the day use and low-water boat ramps, docks, marina, RV, tent camping, parking and restrooms. Idaho Power is completing a bank stabilization project. This project is anticipated to be completed by early October. 
  • Holcomb Park boat launch is closed due to low water levels. The campground is open and the floating restroom has been removed for the season.

Bully Creek Reservoir

  • UPDATE: Bully Creek boat ramp and boarding docks are open.  There is approximately 9 ft of water over the bottom of the boat ramp. 

Campbell Lake

  • Campbell Lake campground and ramp are open.

Cape Meares Lake

  • The boat ramp is open. The launch and maneuver area are very small. Be careful when launching and retrieving, you may encroach onto Bay Ocean Road.  Weeds are getting thick in much of the lake.

Chetco River

  • Alfred A. Loeb State Park, Miller Bar, Nook Bar, Redwood Bar, and South Fork Campgrounds and Day Use areas have large drop offs on the access to the gravel bar.
  • The Port of Brookings Harbor will be hosting several events this season. These events can cause congestion near the dock and rinse station. Cones and signs are put out to help traffic flow.

Chickahominy Reservoir

  • The boat ramp is open.

Clackamas Lake

Clackamas River

  • Moore Creek, Hole-in-the-Wall and Sandstone Bridge Boat Access sites are open.
  • Clackamette Park is open and available for nonmotorized launching, however the boat ramp is closed due to safety concerns.
  • The Milo McIver State Park boat ramp is open. Campground will be closed for restroom upgrades and general improvements from September 16, 2024 – January 31, 2025.

Clear Lake (Linn County)

  • Boating access at the Cold Water Cove boat slide is open.
  • Clear Lake Resort, marina and ramp are open. This is a great place to paddle, but dress appropriately because the water is very cold year-round.

Cleawox Lake

  • Jessie M. Honeyman State Park small boat ramp and large day use beach and dock are open. Small boats are recommended. Remember to clean, drain and dry any boat and remove any visible vegetation. Help prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species.

Coffenbury Lake

  • Fort Stevens State Park boat launch and docks are open.  Remember to Clean, Drain and Dry between waterbodies to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species.

Cold Springs Reservoir

  • UPDATE: Cold Springs Reservoir is approximately 10% full. The reservoir is located approximately 20 minutes east of Hermiston. There is a primitive boat ramp and gravel parking. This is a great place to paddle, fish and watch wildlife.

Columbia River

  • Mayer State Park is open.  Do not clean fish on the sidewalk by the life jacket loaner station. This is messy, creates a hazard and detracts from people wanting to borrow a life jacket and use the sidewalk to access the boat ramp or restroom.
  • Celilo Park will not have irrigation or potable water beginning September 9 while maintenance crews are upgrading lines. The main restroom will be closed however the two vault toilets at the west end of the park will be open. Work is anticipated to last approximately two weeks.
  • Port of Arlington's boat ramp, marina, fuel station, pumpout and dump station are open.
  • Rooster Rock launch ramp is only usable for small boats and paddlecraft.  The water is very low making the channel extremely narrow and shallow.
  • The Port of Cascade Locks tie-up dock, pumpout and dump station boat ramp and boarding docks are open.
  • Sandy Beach short-term tie-up dock on Government Island is damaged.  Use caution when accessing the dock.
  • Hammond, Warrenton, and Rainier City Marinas are open.
  • Sand Island shuttle service is open.  There are two large short-term tie-up docks for recreational boater use only. 
  • The City of St. Helens Courthouse Docks are open. The pumpout and dump station are available.
  • The Hayden Bay pumpout is online.
  • M. James Gleason boating access is open. The pumpout and dump station are operational.
  • Chinook Landing ramp, docks and restrooms are open. The pumpout and dump station are open.
  • Hat Rock State Park, Boardman Marina and boat ramp, Irrigon Marina, boat ramp, recreational boat short term tie-up dock and pumpout and dump station are open.  
  • Port of The Dalles restrooms are closed for repair, and two portable restrooms are available. The boat ramp, short-term tie-up dock, pumpout and dump station are open. The marine fuel station is operated by the Yacht Club and offers both diesel and gasoline.

Cooper Creek

  • Cooper Creek boat launch is open.

Coos Bay

  • Eastside Boat Ramp is open. The piling has been replaced and docks are installed.
  • California Street boat ramp is open, and the first half of the boarding docks have been replaced.  The City of North Bend is having the remaining docks repaired. Be courteous and move your boat to the end of the docks or walk it around to the other side to keep the boat ramp open.  Limit your stay on the boarding docks to 15 minutes. 
  • Shinglehouse Boat Ramp is open. The boarding docks have been vandalized and removed. There are no plans to replace them currently.
  • The Charleston marina is open year-round. Both pumpout and dump stations are operational.
  • Empire Boat Ramp is open, and docks are installed.
  • North Spit docks are not installed and there is sediment build up on the boat ramp.

Coos River

  • The Myrtle Tree boat ramp is open.

Coquille River

  • Sturdivant Park's boat ramp and docks are closed for construction.
  • Arago Boat Ramp is open and boarding docks are installed.
  • Coquille Boat Ramp is open. Most of the sediment has been removed.  There is some at the bottom of the boat ramp that may impact launching at low tides.
  • The campground at Bullard's Beach State Park will be closed September 16, 2024 through March 17, 2025 to upgrade the main sewer line for the campground. The day use portion of the park will remain open with limited disruptions.
  • The Port of Bandon boat ramp and marina, Bullard's Beach, Rocky Point, and Riverton are open.

Cottage Grove Reservoir

  • Wilson Creek boat ramp is open, and the boat ramp will be out of the water this week. Please avoid power loading your boat on and from your trailer. Power loading and unloading can damage the lower portion of the boat ramp causing expensive repairs and permitting.
  • UPDATE: Lakeside Boat Ramp is open. There was more than 30 feet of water over the bottom of the boat ramp as of last week.

Cougar Reservoir

  • UPDATE: Slide Creek Campground is closed.
  • Echo Park Day Use is open. However, the water is more than 65 feet below the bottom of the ramps as of last week.  The boating access sites are not usable.

Crane Prairie

  • UPDATE: Quinn River campground is closed for the season. The adjacent boat launch is open. The ramp has a shallow slope, and the asphalt approach is damaged and breaking apart.
  • UPDATE: Rock Creek Campground is closed for the season. Rock Creek boating access docks have been installed and the ramp is open.
  • The reservoir is 70% full.
  • Crane Prairie Day Use boating access boarding docks are installed.
  • Crane Prairie Resort and Marina are open.
  • Browns Mountain boating access has a shallow slope with four-inch gaps between concrete planks. The location on the reservoir provides for calmer water and is a great place for paddlers to explore.

Crescent Lake

Crump Lake

  • ADVISORY: Check with Oregon Department of State Lands to determine if access to the lake is open. OAR 141-088-0250  shawn.zumwalt@dsl.oregon.gov

Crystal Creek

  • Malone Springs boat launch is open. Hand launching is available.
  • Rocky Point ramp on Recreation Creek is about ten-minute drive south and trailered boats can use the boat ramp.

Cullaby Lake

  • Cullaby Lake Park is open, and docks are floating.
  • Carnahan Park is open.

Cultus Lake

  • UPDATE: West Cultus, Big Cove, and Little Cove Boat-In Campgrounds are closed for the season.
  • UPDATE: Cultus Lake Campground is closed. The walk-in boat ramp is open.
  • Cultus Lake Day Use and boating site are open.

Davis Lake

  • East Davis Lake campground and boat launch are open.

Deadhorse Lake

  • Deadhorse Lake Campground and boat ramp are open. The boating access is primitive and great for nonmotorized boats and boats with electric motors 

Delintment Lake

  • Delintment Lake is open.

Depoe Bay

  • Depoe Bay boat ramp is open. The dump station is offline while a new hose is being ordered.

Depot Slough

  • The Port of Toledo recreational short-term tie-up docks, pumpout and dump station are open.

Deschutes River

  • UPDATE: Cow Meadow campground is closed for the season.
  • Bureau of Land Management announced that all campgrounds from Maupin to Shears Bridge are open and river access from Buck Hollow to Mack's Canyon are also open as of September 5.
  • Heritage Landing, Lava Island Falls (Big Eddy), Aspen, Slough, Besson, Tetherow and Harper's Bridge, Big River, and Pringle Falls Campgrounds, Tenino, Bull Bend, and Wyeth and boating access sites are open. Many of these locations are also trailheads for the Deschutes River Trail. To learn more about the trail, visit Deschutes National Forest - Deschutes River Trail (usda.gov)

Detroit Lake

  • State Park D ramp, G loop ramp, Cove Creek ramp, Southshore ramp, Hoover ramp, Detroit Lake Marina and Kanes Marina are closed.
  • The Mongold lower boat ramp is open.  The Mongold upper ramp and docks are closed. 

Devils Lake (Deschutes County)

Devil's Lake (Lincoln County)

  • Devil's Lake State Park West Campground and dock are open.
  • Devil's Lake State Park East boat ramp is open.

Dexter Reservoir

  • UPDATE: Lowell and Dexter State Park boat ramps are open. The water was fluctuating around nine feet over the bottom of the ramps as of last week. Please avoid power loading your boat on and from your trailer. Power loading and unloading can damage the lower portion of the boat ramp causing expensive repairs and permitting.

Diamond Lake

  • Southshore, North End, Thielson View and Diamond Lake Campground ramps are open. 

Dog Lake

  • Dog Lake Campground and boating site are open.

Dorena Reservoir

  • UPDATE: Baker Bay boat ramp and campground are open. There is approximately 50 feet of water over the bottom of the boat ramp as of last week.
  • Harms Park boat ramp is closed. The main road leading to Harms boat ramp will have ongoing construction this summer for a culvert replacement project. Please access the park via Shoreview Drive to Row River Road along the north side of the lake.  Row River Road Culvert Replacement Project - Lane County 

Duncan Reservoir

  • Duncan Reservoir is a small campground with boat ramp. It is located approximately 10 miles south from Silver Lake. open typically from Memorial Day to September 30th.

East Lake

  • East Lake and Cinder Hill Campgrounds are open.

Eckman Lake

Eel Lake

  • William M. Tugman State Park boat launch and kayak launch are open.

Elk Lake (Deschutes County)

  • Little Fawn Campground is closed but the boating access is open.
  • Sunset View Day Use, Elk Lake Day Use, Point Campground, and Elk Lake Resort boating access sites are open.

Emigrant Lake

  • All boat ramps are closed and trailered boats can no longer launch. The lake is 6% full.

Estacada Lake

  • Timber Park nonmotorized launch is open until October 15. The launch may close during high water events, call the park at 503-630-5210 for information.

Fall Creek Reservoir

  • UPDATE: North Shore Day Use long ramp-road has a shallow slope and works best for small boats and paddlecraft. There is more than 45 feet of water over the end of low water the ramp as of last week. The short ramp is closed.
  • Winberry and Cascara boating access are closed due to low water levels.

Faraday Lake

  • The lake, park and surrounding areas are closed for construction. Parking near the bridge and access to all areas across the bridge (Southeast of the Clackamas River) are closed. The area is anticipated to be reopened in mid- Fall of 2024. Faraday Lake (portlandgeneral.com)

Fern Ridge Reservoir

  • UPDATE: Richardson Park Marina is open. The marina will close on October 6. There is approximately 6 feet of water over the end of the ramp as of last week. Richardson Park - Lane County
  • UPDATE:  Orchard Point Marina is open. The marina will close on October 6. There is approximately 7 feet of water at the end of the ramp as of last week. Orchard Point - Lane County
  • Perkins Peninsula Park is open. There is approximately three feet of water over the end of the ramp as of last week. Please avoid power loading your boat on and from your trailer. Power loading and unloading can damage the lower portion of the boat ramp causing expensive repairs and permitting. Perkins Peninsula Park - Lane County
  • The floating restroom has been installed for the season.

Floras Creek

  • Boice Cope Campground and boat ramp are open.

Foster Reservoir

  • UPDATE: Sunnyside Park day use, and boating access is open. There is approximately 18 feet of water over the bottom of the boat ramp as of last week.
  • UPDATE: Gedney Creek is open, and water is 11 feet over the end of the ramp as of last week.
  • UPDATE: Calkins Park boat ramp is open. There is 2 feet of water over the end of the ramp and water is dropping.  The boat ramp will be out of the water by next week as of last week.
  • Lewis Creek Park closed for the season on September 10. The County is making several improvements to the facilities prior to next spring reopening.

Fourmile Lake

  • Fourmile Lake Campground and boat ramp are open, and the lake is 10% full.

Galesville Reservoir

  • Chief Miwaleta boat launch is open and accessible.

Garrison Lake (Port Orford)

  • 12th Street boat ramp and Pinehurst gravel ramp are open. Pinehurst is a great access site for paddlecraft to explore the lake.

Gold Lake

  • Gold Lake Campground and Day Use Area are open.

Grand Ronde Lake

  • Grand Ronde Lake Campground and boating access is open. This small access is approximately two miles from Anthony Lake. If you are looking for something less busy than Anthony Lake, check out this site. This hand launch site is a lovely spot for paddling.

Green Peter Reservoir

  • UPDATE: Thistle Creek low water ramp is open, there is approximately 20 feet over the bottom of the boat ramp as of last week.
  • Whitcomb Creek campground is open however the boat ramp is out of the water and closed.  The floating restroom on the Quartzville arm has been removed.

Hart Lake

Haystack Reservoir

  • UPDATE: Haystack West is open for trailered boat launching. The reservoir water level is 92%. The last dock is in the water.
  • Haystack reservoir is a recirculating system, and the water elevation goes up and down during the irrigation season.  When reservoir storage is below 3,600 acre-feet or approximately 64% the West boat ramp is closed.   When it is above that level it is normally open.   • Haystack Campground (Forest Service site) is closed. 

Heart Lake

  • Heart Lake boat launch is located less than an hour west of Lakeview.  The boarding dock is broken.

Hells Canyon Reservoir

  • ADVISORY: Idaho Department of Health and Welfare on August 5, 2024 issued a harmful algal bloom health advisory for Brownlee and Hells Canyon reservoirs, urging caution when recreating in or near the water. 
  • Hells Canyon Creek boat ramp and Visitor Center are open.
  • Copperfield boat launch is open. Call 541-785-7251 for current road conditions between Oxbow and Hells Canyon Dam.

Henry Hagg Lake

  • Ramps A and C have approximately 35 feet of water over the end of the boat ramps. The reservoir is 52% full. The seasonal kayak rental shop is closed for the season.

Hideaway Lake

  • This lake has a small campground and carry down access to lake.  It is located about 2- hours from Estacada.

Hills Creek Reservoir

  • UPDATE: Packard Creek Campground is closed. The Day Use area remains open. The Boat Ramp is open year-round, and the water is approximately 50 feet over the end of the ramp as of last week.
  • UPDATE: CT Beach boat ramp the water is approximately 12 feet below the end of the boat ramp as of last week.
  • Bingham boating access water level is 25 feet below the bottom of the boat ramp as of last week. Use caution, paddlecraft can carry down.

Holbrook Reservoir

  • Holbrook Campground and boat launch are open and located less than an hour west of Lakeview. 

Hosmer Lake

  • Hosmer Lake boating access is open.  

Howard Prairie Reservoir

  • UPDATE: Howard Prairie Resort boat launch and boarding docks are open. Contact the Parks Office at 541-774-8183 for the most up-to-date information. The marina is closed for the season. The reservoir is 40% full.
  • Low water primitive access near the dam is open.
  • Willow Point, Grizzly and Klum Landing are open for camping. However, the boat launches are closed for trailered boats due to low water. Paddlecraft can carry down and launch.

Hyatt Lake

  • UPDATE: Wildcat Campground and boat ramp are open for the season. The reservoir is 37% full.
  • Cascade and Mountain View boat ramps are currently closed due to utility system upgrades.

John Day River

  • Starvation boat ramp, J.S. Burres at Cottonwood are open.  The river levels are very shallow and can be used by kayaks.

Jubilee Lake

  • Jubilee Lake Campground is open. Nestled in the Umatilla National Forest, this high elevation lake is known for good fishing, swimming, and nonmotorized boating. From Highway 204, turn North onto Forest Service Road 64. Follow the road for 12 miles and the campground entrance will be on your right.

Kilchis River

  • UPDATE: Mapes Creek boat launch is open.  The old concrete panels are still on the sides of the boat ramp.  ODFW is coordinating with the County to move them.

Kinglsey Reservoir

  • UPDATE: The Campground is open and reservoir are open. There is construction and fire tender access at the boat ramp which is restricting use of the boat ramp.

Klamath River (former J.C. Boyle Reservoir)

  • Topsy, Pioneer Park West and East, Spring Island boating area are closed for the J.S. Boyle dam removal.  Pioneer Park East is permanently closed and Topsy boating access is permanently closed.

Lake Billy Chinook

  • The reservoir will start dropping to winter levels (1942 ft. elevation) beginning September 15. Beware of submerged/partially submerged hazards such as rocks and stumps.
  • All three floating restrooms have been installed. They are located at Kettle falls, Deschutes, and Metolius arms.
  • Perry South, Cove Palisades State Park, Lower Deschutes, Crooked River and Upper Deschutes, and Cove Palisades Resort and Marina are open.

Lake Harriet

  • Lake Harriet Day Use area and boat ramp are open.

Lake Lytle

  • The City park boating access is open. Construction of a new restroom facility has begun and is anticipated to complete in the Spring of 2025.

Lake of the Woods

  • Aspen Point, Sunset Campground, Rainbow Bay and Lake of the Woods Resort boating access sites are open.

Lake Owyhee Reservoir

  • UPDATE: Gordon Gulch boat ramp is open. There is approximately 34 feet of water over the bottom of the boat ramp.
  • UPDATE: Indian Creek boat ramp is open. There is approximately 47 feet of water over the bottom of the boat ramp.
  • UPDATE: Leslie Gulch boat ramp is open, dependent upon the weather. Water is 5 feet over the bottom of the boat ramp. Contact Vale District Bureau of Land Management for more up-to-date information (541) 473-3144.
  • McCormack boat ramp is closed for the season.

Lake Simtustus

  • Pelton Marina and Campground will close September 29, however the boat ramp is open year around.

Laurance Lake

  • Kinnikinnick East and West are open. Laurance Lake near Hood River is a nice location for paddlers to explore.

Lava Lake

  • Lava Lake boating access is open, and the docks are installed. Lava Lake Resort and Marina are open.

Lemolo Lake

  • Lemolo Lake is open. Poole Creek, East Lemolo and Lemolo Lake Resort are open. 

Little Cultus Lake

  • UPDATE: Little Cultus Campground and boating access are closed.

Little Lava Lake

  • Little Lava Lake Campground and boat launch are open.

Lofton Reservoir

  • Lofton Reservoir campground and boat launch are located less than an hour west of Lakeview.  The boat ramp is open. U.S. Forest Service was going to install a fishing pier in September, however the work is anticipated to happen spring of 2025.

Lookout Point Reservoir

  • The Signal Point Boat Ramp was closed on September 10, 2024.  The U.S Army Corps of Engineers is drawing the reservoir down to an elevation 75 feet below normal winter levels to help juvenile fish passage.  The reservoir will be held down at the lowest level from mid-November to mid-December, then begin to refill back to normal winter levels. The entrance gate to the Signal Point parking area will remain closed until the boat ramp become usable.
  • UPDATE: Black Canyon Campground will close on September 28th. Hampton is open; however the water is more than 85 feet below the boat ramps as of last week and is not suitable for launching.
  • The Meridian boat ramp is closed due to low water.

Loon Lake

  • The East Shore Day Use Area is open year-round. Paddlecraft can carry down from the Day Use Area.

Lost Creek Reservoir

  • UPDATE: Joseph Stewart Resort and Marina are open. The boat ramp and boarding docks are open and there is approximately 5 feet of water over the end of the boat ramp as of last week.  
  • UPDATE: Takelma boat ramp is open and there is approximately 60 feet of water over the bottom of the boat ramp as of last week. 

Luckiamute River

  • The bridge accessing North Luckiamute State Natural Area (Crocker Road) is closed due to severe structural damage caused by a tree limb. The bridge is unsafe to cross and will remain closed to all traffic until a complete overhaul can be completed in early 2025. Until that time, the only way to access North Luckiamute is by boat. McKay Reservoir

  •  UPDATE: McKay Creek National Wildlife Refuge North and South boating access is open, and the reservoir is 31% full. As a reminder, fishing closes September 30 and will reopen March 1.

McKenzie River

  • Frissell, Paradise Campground, McKenzie Bridge, Bruckart Landing, Hamlin, Forest Glen, Finn Rock Landing, Silver Creek Boat Launch, Ben and Kay Dorris State Park, Helfrich Landing, Goodpasture, Greenwood Landing, Leaburg Landing, Deerhorn Landing, Hendricks Bridge, Bellinger Landing, Hayden Bridge, Armitage Park, are open.

Miller Lake

  • Digit Point Campground and boat launch are open. Water systems are nonpotable only. We have received comments from boaters that the road to Miller Lake is rough.  Use caution when towing a boat on the road.
  • Gideon Creek Day Use Area is open. This is a nice place to launch paddlecraft.

Millicoma River

  • Doris Place and Rooke-Higgins ramps are open.

Minam River

  • Minam State Recreation Area boat launch is open. Parking in this area is day use only.

Morgan Lake

  • Morgan Lake Campground and boat ramp are open through October 31st.  There is an open fire ban in effect.

Necanicum River

  • The Highway 101 boat ramp is closed for the off season, it will reopen to anglers in the fall.
  • Quatat Marine Park and Cartwright Park boating access sites in Seaside are open. The automatic gate at Quatat was vandalized so the mechanism has been removed for repairs. Gates can be opened and closed manually.

Nehalem River

  • Nehalem Bay State Park boat ramp and docks, Wheeler short-term tie-up dock and boat ramp, Nehalem County Ramp, Roy Creek ramp, Nehalem H Street and Tohls Street docks are open.

Nestucca River

  • The river above the first bridge is too low for drift boats.

North Fork Reservoir

  • North Fork Reservoir Lower Launch is open.
  • Promontory Park boat launch is open 8 AM – 6 PM (hours subject to change). Call the marina at 503-630-5152 to confirm.

North Santiam River

  • Packsaddle Park be hosting Salmon Watch starting on Wednesday September 18 thru October 10. School groups will be visiting the park.
  • Buell Miller, Lyons-Mehama and Stayton Bridge boating access are open year-round.
  • Greens Bridge access is gated. Anglers who wish to launch or retrieve from this site must apply for a key by calling the local ODFW office at (541) 757-4186 and provide your fishing license number.

North Twin Lake

  • The Campground and boating access are open.

North Umpqua River

  • Colliding Rivers, Hestness, Amacher, Umpqua Landing, and Whistlers Bend ramps are open and accessible.
  • Bogus Creek raft launch is closed from the Archie Creek fire. The U.S. Forest Service is working on plans to rebuild the boating access.

Ochoco Lake

  • UPDATE: The reservoir is 54% full. The boat launch is open and the lower dock is still floating.
  • The floating restroom has been installed for the season.

Odell Lake

  • Trapper Creek, Princess Creek and Sunset Cove Campgrounds, boat ramps and docks are open. Trails leading into Diamond Peak Wilderness are closed due to the Red Fire.

Odessa Creek off of Upper Klamath Lake

  • Odessa Picnic Site boat ramp is located approximately ½ mile from Upper Klamath Lake is open. Remember to Clean, Drain and Dry before launching at a new waterbody to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species.

Olallie Lake

  • Paul Dennis Campground and Camp Ten Campground are open and paddlers can carry down to the lake.

Pacific Ocean

  • Cape Kiwanda dory launch is open.
  • Sunset Bay State Park campground is open for day use year-round.

Paulina Lake

  • Little Crater Campground and Day Use, Paulina Lake Campground and Day use boating access sites are open.

Phillips Reservoir

  • The reservoir is approximately 23% full.
  • Union Creek Campground and Day Use Picnic Area are open.
  • Mason Dam boat ramp is open.

Pilcher Creek Reservoir

  • The County ramp and docks are out of the water.  Paddlecraft can carry down to launch.

Pine Hollow Reservoir

  • Both the South and North boat ramps are open. 

Powers Pond

  • Powers Park kayak launch is open.

Prineville Reservoir

  • The Reservoir is 61% full.
  • A bass tournament is scheduled on October 19.
  • UPDATE: Jasper Point Campground and boat ramp are open, with 9 feet of water over the end of the ramp as of last week. The site will close on October 1.
  • UPDATE: Powderhouse Cove ramp is open, with 2 feet of water over the end of the ramp as of last week. The site will be closing soon.
  • UPDATE: Prineville State Park Day Use is open, and currently has 20 feet of water over the end of the ramp as of last week. The boarding docks are available. Day Use hazard buoys and no wake buoys are installed. State Parks is continuing to replace bumpers and make repairs to the docks.  The moorage is scheduled to close October 1. The fish cleaning stations are open.
  • UPDATE: One floating restroom has been removed and the other will be removed next week.
  • The unimproved Roberts Bay and County ramps are open.

Rainy Lake

Rogue River

  • Argo, Rand boating access, Galice, Hog Creek, Ferry Hole, Griffin Park, Baker Park, Riverside Park, Dees Landing (Coyote Evans Wayside), Gold Hill Sports Park, TouVelle, Dodge Bridge, and Valley of the Rogue State Parks, Upper Rogue Regional Park (Shady Cove), Rogue Elk, and Casey County Park are open.
  • Grave Creek boat ramp is accessible. Please be aware that Rainie Falls Trail is still closed due to landslides. BLM asks that you stay out of that area.

Rogue River Bay

  • The Port of Gold Beach facilities are open.

Saunders Lake

  • The county boat ramp is open.

  • The Port of Siuslaw boat ramp is open, and the boom logs have been removed for the season.
  • Schindler, Tiernan, Konnie Memorial, Tide County Parks, Mapleton, Bender Landing, Farnham, Linslaw, and Deadwood are open.

Skipanon River

  • Warrenton Marina and boat ramp are open.

Smith River

  • Dailey Ranch Slide is open for nonmotorized retrieval. Be aware of a log currently making it difficult for larger drift boats to retrieve at this location.
  • Vincent Creek boat launch is well suited for nonmotorized boats.
  • Bolon Island and Riverside ramps are open.

Snake River

  • Nyssa boat ramp and docks are open. There are large voids between the boat ramp concrete planks. Use caution when launching and retrieving.
  • Dug Bar is open.

South Twin Lake

  • South Twin Lake Campground and boat ramp are open.

South Umpqua River

  • Charles V Stanton Park boat ramp is closed. The river is very low and the water is below the bottom of the boat ramps at Happy Valley, and Pickett Park.

Sparks Lake

  • Sparks Lake boating access, and day use are open.

Spring Creek

  • Collier Memorial Park campground, and Spring Creek Day Use are open.  When using this area be respectful, use only designated put in and take out areas, plan ahead and use approved upland sanitation. Do not beach your paddlecraft, handle mare's eggs, or disturb wildlife.  Protect your access to this waterway.

Suttle Lake

  • Link Creek Campground and boating access is open.
  • Blue Bay and South Shore Campgrounds and boating access are closed.

Tahkenitch Lake

  •  Tahkenitch Lake boat ramp is closed for damage. The docks adjacent to the boat ramp and the parking area remain open.   • Tahkenitch Landing Campground and boat launch are open.

Tenmile Lake

  • Tenmile lake is experiencing low water at the County launch. The end of ramp buoys are installed and low water signs are posted.  The County recently placed rock in the power loading hole at the bottom of the ramp.  Please avoid power loading your boat on and from your trailer. Power loading and unloading can damage the lower portion of the boat ramp causing expensive repairs, lengthy permitting and closures.
  • Tenmile Lake County Park nonmotorized launch, use caution when using the nonmotorized kayak launch.  A portion of the launch dock is submerged. The County is investigating if the dock has been punctured and filling with water.

Thief Valley Reservoir

  • The reservoir is dry until next season. No boating access is available.

Thompson Reservoir

  • UPDATE: Thompson Reservoir and campground are open.

Tillamook Bay

  • All Port of Garibaldi facilities are open.
  • The Memaloose boat launch is open.

Tillamook River

  • The Burton Bridge ramp is open.

Timothy Lake

  • Stone Creek, Oak Fork and North Arm Day Use Areas are listed as open.
  • Timothy Lake is dropping approximately 4" per week to winter levels. Beware of submerged/partially submerged hazards such as rocks and stumps.
  • Pine Point boat launch will remain open until it is inaccessible by snow.

Todd Lake

Toketee Lake

  • Toketee Lake campground and boating access are open.

Town Lake

  • The Town Lake ramp near Pacific City is open.

Triangle Lake

  • Triangle Lake Park is open. The lake is very popular for towed watersports and paddling.  Remember motorized and nonmotorized boaters want to use the water.

Trojan Pond

  • Trojan's reservable picnic areas and flush restrooms are closed. The ponds and trails are open year-round with limited services, limited parking and a portable toilet.

Tualatin River

  • UPDATE: Rood Bridge Park and kayak launch are open. The boarding dock has been removed for the season.
  • Cook Park boat ramp will be closed to motorized and nonmotorized boating access September 9-27 to prepare the site for new boarding docks to be installed in Spring 2025.  The 11 parking stalls directly behind the boat ramp will be closed off for contractor staging during the closure.  Nonmotorized boating access will be available just northeast of the boat ramp from the hard surface pathway.
  • Hazelbrook Road nonmotorized access under Hwy 99 is now open for use.
  • Willamette Park Paddle Access, and Fields Bridge Park boating access sites are open.
  • The Stark (Rivergrove) boat launch is open but in need of repairs. Recommend paddlecraft launch. Limited parking is available on the park side of the street.
  • Browns Ferry, Tualatin Community Park, and Jurgens Park boating access sites are open.
  • The Farmington boat launch is open. In June 2024, construction will begin on a new roundabout at the intersection of Farmington and River roads. During this project, Farmington Paddle Launch will remain open. Be prepared for detours or delays entering and exiting the site. Work is expected to be completed in fall 2025.

Turner Lake

  • North Turner Lake boat ramp is open.

Umpqua River

  • UPDATE: Salmon Harbor east basin dredging project is expected to start week of September 25-October 5. Approximately 8,500 cubic yards of sediment will be removed, including the Coast Guard moorings and 300 feet of the west half of A-dock.  Please remember, this project is dependent on tides and may require operations to continue through the night. As a result, there may be bright lights and noise during nighttime hours. The start and end dates are approximate and may shift depending on conditions. Boaters are urged to avoid the area for safety and are advised to use the West Basin boat ramp during this time.
  • Salmon Habor West basins, pumpout and dump station, Gardiner ramp, Bumble Bee, Rainbow Plaza, Scottsburg, Scott Creek, Sawyer Rapids, Yellow Creek, James Wood, Cleveland Rapids, and River Forks, boating access sites are open.

Upper Klamath Lake

  • Wocus Bay boat ramp, parking and restroom will be closed for all uses from September 3 to September 27 for road widening project.
  • Odessa campground is open.
  • Rocky Point Boat Launch and docks are open.  

Unity Reservoir

  • UPDATE: The State Park Day Use boat ramp is open. The water is two feet below the bottom of the boat ramp as of last week. Please avoid power loading your boat on and from your trailer. Power loading and unloading can damage the lower portion of the boat ramp causing expensive repairs and permitting.

Waldo Lake

  • Shadow Bay Day Use and boating access are open.

Wallowa Lake

  • UPDATE: Wallowa County Park and Wallowa State Park are open. The boarding docks have been removed for the season. Be advised that the ramp is not plowed or maintained during the winter.

Wahtum Lake

Warm Springs Reservoir

  • UPDATE: The boat ramp is open. The water is at the bottom of the boat ramp. Please avoid power loading your boat on and from your trailer. Power loading and unloading can damage the lower portion of the boat ramp causing expensive repairs and permitting.

Wickiup Reservoir

  • North Davis Boating Site and campground are closed for the 2024 season.
  • UPDATE: North Wickiup and Gull Point Boating Sites are open. The reservoir is 22% full.
  • Reservoir Campground is closed for the 2024 season due to significant hazard tree mitigation needs. 

Lower Willamette (Columbia River to Willamette Falls)

  • The Charlie S. Brown Water Sports Center in Roehr Park is closed until further notice for repairs to the dock.
  • The debris boom at Jon Storm Park short-term tie-up dock is damaged. Use caution when operating near the piling. The restroom, pumpout and dump station are open. The parking lot is currently closed for the I-205 widening project to allow construction access.
  • Milwaukie Bay Park is open, and docks are installed for the season.
  • George Rogers Park is open.
  • Foothills Park, Tryon Cove, and Cedaroak boat launches are open.
  • Sportcraft Landing is open. The ODOT bridge contractor is working, so watch for barges and work boats in the area.

Middle Willamette (Willamette Falls to Salem)

  • The I-5 Boone Bridge Replacement Project is replacing the bridge that crosses the Willamette River in Wilsonville.  This project would include adding a new walking and biking option over the river. Options for the walking and biking access include staying in the same alignment with the bridge or separating and having it land at Boones Ferry boat ramp and marina. Upper Willamette (Salem to Eugene)

  • The Aquathusiast ramp in North Riverfront Park (Michael's Landing) is open. Vehicle access from 1st and 2nd Streets are open.
  • Willamette Park in Corvallis (Crystal Lake) boat ramp is open, and the docks floating.
  • Independence Sports Park boat ramp, Buena Vista County ramp, Bowman Park, Takena Landing, Hyak Park, Peoria Park, McCartney Park, Harrisburg Landing, Whitely Landing, and Island Park are open.

Willamette River - Coast Fork

Willamette River – Middle Fork

  • Clearwater Park is open.
  • Jasper Bridge boating access is closed.  Paddlers can carry down from the main parking lot at Jasper State Recreation Area located approximately 5 minutes from the bridge.
  • Westfir Confluence Takeout gate will remain closed for the season but is accessible for recreational use. Please call Cascades Outdoor Center at 541-246-9007 or Westfir City Hall at 541-782-3983 for the gate code.

Willow Creek Reservoir

  • Willow Creek Campground is open. The water level is very low and launching at the boat ramp is not recommended.

Willow Lake

  • Willow Lake Park boating access is open. Small watercraft can still launch for now, but use caution.  The lake level is dropping and will soon not be accessible.

Wilson River

  • The river is floatable by drift boat or smaller watercraft below Mills Bridge. The upper reaches remain too low for drift boats but are accessible by raft or individual watercraft.  

Woahink Lake

  • Jessie M. Honeyman State Park and the East Woahink Lake boating access is open.

Wolf Creek Reservoir

  •  The water is very low. The County ramp open and docks are out of the water. Paddlecraft can carry down to launch.

Yamhill River, North and South Forks

  • Yamhill County Parks is updating their park system plan and is wanting to hear from boaters and park users. Parks | Yamhill County, OR

Yaquina Bay
