We conduct Life Safety Code surveys for various healthcare facilities that receive funding from Medicaid and Medicare programs (CMS), including:

Compliance Surveys
Our Fire & Life Safety Division Compliance surveyors perform Center for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) certification surveys in coordination with the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) and the Oregon Health Authority (OHA). These surveys are conducted according to schedules set by ODHS and OHA, ensuring compliance in:
- Oregon's hospitals
- Long-term care facilities
- Ambulatory surgical centers
- Hospices
- End-stage renal disease (dialysis) facilities
Licensure and Certification
Facilities seeking licensure through the State of Oregon (ORS 441.015) and certification through CMS receive NFPA 101 Fire Life Safety (FLS) Code plans review to verify compliance during both the plan review phase and site inspection upon project completion.
