The Adult Transition Program (ATP) is for students who have graduated with a Modified or Extended diploma, or a Certificate of Completion. Once in the program, students can continue their education until they are ready for work/college or reach the age of 21.
ATP is divided into two components: College Bound (CB) or Extended Studies program (ESP).
- CB is for those who are aiming for college, but are not quite ready in terms of academics or general living skills. The schedule for students in CB is flexible, designed to meet the needs of the individual students. A student can continue to take classes in the high school, along with classes at Chemeketa Community College (CCC), as well as benefiting from the apartment setting at our residence halls. If a student has a job while in school, reasonable attempts will be taken to design the CB program around the job.
- ESP is for those who need more time in developing their independent living skills. The schedule for students in ESP is flexible, designed to meet the needs of the individual students. A student can continue taking classes in the high school, along with ESP classes which focus on independent living outside of school. Work Experience opportunities are available to students in ESP.
