Workplace safety policies, procedures, and practices are important for the well-being of both employees and employers to keep the employees safe and to support the mission of the agency. A safe and healthy workplace not only protects workers from injury and illness, it can also affect costs, reduce absenteeism and turnover, increase productivity and quality, and raise employee morale. The agency is dedicated to supporting and promoting a safe, healthful workplace for all its employees. Injury and illness losses from incidents are costly and preventable.
