All applicants must provide fingerprints for a state and federal criminal history record check. All fingerprints are processed through the Oregon State Police (OSP) and the FBI. A history of criminal activity will be reviewed and may result in the denial of your application.

To register, use this Fieldprint code:

Before you go, condition your fingers. Health care professionals may have difficultly obtaining quality fingerprints due to dry hands from frequent hand washing. Moisturize or apply cornhusker’s oil on your hands prior to fingerprinting to help “raise” the prints, making them easier to read.
If Oregon State Police or the FBI rejects your fingerprints because of poor quality, Fieldprint Inc or the Oregon Medical Board will notify you to schedule retakes.
If a Fieldprint Inc location is not available in your area, please contact the Licensing Call Center at (971) 673-2700 or fingerprints@omb.oregon.gov for more information.
Processing Time
The average fingerprint processing time is 2 - 4 weeks. If you have questions regarding the status of your fingerprint processing, contact the Oregon Medical Board. Do not attempt to contact the Oregon State Police. Submit questions about the fingerprinting process by email to the Licensing Department at
fingerprints@omb.oregon.gov.

OAR 125-007-0300(7). The procedure for obtaining a change, correction, or update to an FBI record are provided in
