There are specific milestones, depending on the project type, set by HARP that correspond to completion of stages of the project. You can submit a formal request for payment, known as a draw request, directly to HARP at each of these milestones, but it is not required.
Make sure to include invoices, receipts, and proof of work.
When a draw request is submitted, a CA will conduct an inspection to verify the related work was completed.
There are several important details to note:
- The homeowner may be required to sign off on work before the program can approve a draw inspection.
- You can continue working on the property while a draw request and inspection process take place.
- Before submitting another draw request for additional work performed, all contractors or vendors who have been fully paid for all previous draw requests must sign a lien waiver acknowledging receipt of payment.
- You can combine draw requests if the entire scope of work up to that point has been completed.
You can visit the portal to begin the draw inspection process.
