Confidential Support Is a Call Away

If you’re a Veteran in crisis or concerned about one, there are caring, qualified VA responders standing by to help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Veterans Crisis Line is a free, anonymous, confidential resource that’s available to anyone, even if you’re not registered with VA or enrolled in VA health care.

​If you or someone you know is a veteran facing homelessness or other financial crises, please let us help. The Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs, along with many other state and national military and service organizations, have emergency relief programs specifically designed to help veterans, service members and their families. Contact ODVA or your nearest veteran service office for assistance.

ODVA Invites LGBTQ+ Veterans to Visit Veteran Villages During Pride Celebrations Throughout Oregon

The Oregon Department of Veterans' Affairs invites all LGBTQ+ Veterans to join them and other agencies at the LGBTQ+ Veterans Village during 2024 Pride Celebrations throughout Oregon.

Each LGBTQ+ Veterans Village hosts dozens of state and local agencies. Visit during Pride events for help accessing health care, education resources, veteran benefits, housing services, employment and vocational services and much more.

Stand Downs are typically one- to three-day events during which VA staff and volunteers provide food, clothing and health screenings to homeless and at-risk Veterans. In addition, Veterans also receive referrals for health care, housing solutions, employment, substance use treatment, mental health counseling and other essential services.
