About
ODOT built pedestrian safety improvements on OR 99E at SE Maple Street. The project improves safety by installing an overhead RRFB with a pedestrian refuge island median, ADA compliant curb ramps with push buttons, upgraded illumination and speed feedback signs about one mile north in the City of Milwaukie.
We worked with community in the McLoughlin Boulevard Strategic Investments Plan to identify this location as a priority for safety improvements. This was a planning project to identify and prioritize equitable and impactful transportation safety improvements for pedestrians and people biking and accessing transit along the corridor.
