About

Enlarged project area mapThe Old Railroad Grade Bridge, also known as the Wooden Bridge, is a 160 foot long timber bridge. Old Railroad Grade Road provides access to timber lands and recreational areas within the Oregon Coast Range. The allowed weight load was recently lowered due to bridge quality and emergency vehicles are not currently able to cross it.

We're replacing the old timber bridge with a new bridge.

The new bridge will provide better access to large timber holdings in the county. It will also allow emergency vehicles to cross and potentially reduce their response time.

During construction, you can expect:

  • Detour to a single lane temporary bridge.
  • Construction noise.
