About

Enlarged project area mapThe historic Luckiamute River Bridge was built in 1928 and was part of the old highway replaced by OR 99W/Pacific Highway West. It is located on Helmick Road, which is the primary route for farming vehicles and a common detour for traffic along OR 99W.

The bridge is in poor condition and needs repairs.

We're planning to perform maintenance and bridge strengthening work, which includes:
   • Making the bridge earthquake ready.
   • Cleaning and painting.
   • Sealing the driving surface.

The work will preserve the history of the bridge and make it safe for years to come.
