Nighttime lane closures and delays. Traffic is shifted while we work on widening I-5.
Construction Impacts
You can expect:
- Crews working daily, Sunday through Thursday with occasional night and weekend work.
- Up to two lanes closed nightly in either direction on I-5 as needed from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.
- Other roads in the project area to have single lane closures as needed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Reduced speed to 55 mph in the work zone.
- Construction noise and delays.
Use caution as you drive through the work zone, there are grooves in the pavement along the median shoulder.
Construction Activities
You may see our crews working on:
- Widening I-5 to make room for future traffic shifts.
- Preparing to realign Dolores Way.
- Lengthening the southbound I-5 entrance ramp.

Pedestrians, including those with disabilities, will have access through or around work zones.
Pay attention in the work zone, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work!
Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.
Remember: fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.
