About
In partnership with the City of Rockaway Beach, we're constructing a path along U.S. 101 between S 1st Avenue and Washington Street.
This path will:
- Provide more access for the community and visitors by creating connections between the city's attractions.
- Create a safe place for students walking or biking to school.
- Act as an evacuation route in the event of an emergency.
Learn more by visiting the City of Rockaway Beach website.
This project is currently broken down into two phases: planning and design. We finished the planning phase in December 2024 and the design phase will begin in January 2025. This phase includes survey work, the environmental assessment and the path design.
During the design phase, we're going to continue our outreach efforts to those directly affected by the trail while we move towards the final design. We're also pursuing grant funding opportunities for construction.
