About

Link to the project map.Morgan Lake Road serves residents and provides the only public access to Morgan Lake. This two-mile gravel road is very narrow and steep, with numerous curves. Road width varies from 18’ to 26’. Little to no guardrail – poor condition. Some curves make sight difficult.

This segment of roadway experienced three off-road crashes during a recent study period. These crashes included one fatality. Other crashes have occurred that involved single car slide offs during winter months that are not reported.
Widening the road will help keep vehicles on the roadway. A new guardrail will minimize the severity of a crash if it occurs.

The road is owned and maintained by Union County.
