OR 164: Jefferson (Santiam River) Bridge

You can expect single lane closures​ Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

Construction Impacts

You can expect:

  • Single lane closures​ Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. 
  • Construction noise and delays.
  • Crews working day and night from 6 p.m. to 3 p.m.
    • ​Work paused daily from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

About

view enlarged project mapWe built the Santiam River Bridge in 1933. This bridge is essential for local traffic and acts as a bypass during closures on I-5.​

As part of repairing and strengthening the bridge, we are: 

  • Removing the existing pavement from the bridge surface. 

  • Repaving and applying new striping. 

  • Strengthening the arch beams and the supports under the driving surface. 

  • Repairing damaged concrete.
