U.S. 95: Idaho State Line - McDermitt

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​We are resurfacing 22.7 miles of U.S. 95 to extend the life of the pavement and reduce ongoing maintenance.

No impacts. Work will resume spring 2025.

Schedule

All work is complete for the season.
Crews will return in 2025 to apply chip seal, rumble strips and permanent striping.​
The project is scheduled to be completed by August 2025.

About

Enlarged project map.Current highway surface is nearly 25 years old and in need of repair. This section of highway has the oldest and thinnest overlay from rehabilitation in the 1990s.

Resurfacing this section of highway will create a smooth ride, extend the life of the highway and reduce on-going maintenance.
  • Resurfacing from half mile southeast of Blue Mountain Pass, milepost 98.65, to McDermitt, milepost 121.36.
  • New striping from the Oregon/Idaho state line to McDermitt, milepost 121.36.
